How to get The Thailand Visa for Indians

You may apply for a Thailand visa for Indians online or offline. Both the methods work fine, and you can go ahead as per your convenience.

Online Application: You can simply go to the official website and apply for the Thailand visa. You only have to fill in your basic details and passport details. You have to select the apt Thailand Visa Application Center according to your location. There are different centres for New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata. Offline Application: This is perfectly alright if you like to do things the traditional way and want to apply for a Thailand visa for Indians offline. You only have to download the application form online, fill in the required details, and submit it to the centre along with your documents.

You shall require the given documents to obtain a Thailand visa for an Indian passport holder.
Passport: Make sure your passport has validity for months or more.
Photograph:Two recently clicked coloured photographs of the applicant in the dimensions of 4X6cm
Proof of Financial Means: You would attach the bank statement that proves you have funds to manage yourself in the foreign country, i.e. 10000 Baht per person and 20000 Baht per family.
Round Trip Tickets: Details of your ticket or E-tickets fully paid.

Thailand Visa on Arrival

India stands to be one of the countries that the Thailand government allows to grant the Thailand Visa on Arrival. There are 19 different countries that have been enlisted eligible for Visa on Arrival and India is one of them. The Thailand Visa on Arrival facility had been discontinued due to the Covid crisis, but it has been renewed since October 1, 2021. Thus getting a Thailand Visa on Arrival for Indians in 2022 will not be a huge hassle.As per the new guidelines, Thailand grants Visa on Arrival for two weeks only, which is strictly restricted to tourists only. You have to apply for a visa on arrival at the airport.

To obtain the visa successfully, you will have to meet the requirements mentioned below.
Your trip is for tourism purposes only.
You must have an authentic passport with a minimum of 6 months validity.
Two passport sized photographs without any hats or sunglasses.
You must produce accommodation proof .
According to the Covid guidelines, you will attach a SHABA certificate with a valid SHA Plus hotel for a minimum of 7 days. This shall be applicable till the government discontinues the scheme.
Your confirmed return tickets which date within the time of 15 days of your entry.
Proof of sufficient funds.
Along with these documents, you’ll have to spare an extra 2000 Baht fee for the arrival visa. It must be paid in Thai currency and in cash only.

Once your visa has been done, the only thing left is you entering Thailand. Here we shall provide you with the details you might need at the time of entry and the documents you will need before you start to enjoy your trip.
Since Covid situation had hazardous impacts worldwide, the Thai government has introduced programs for tourists before they travel in the country.

Once you’ve been issued the Thailand visa on arrival, you will apply for entry in Thailand and go for the program designed for the quarantine.

Phuket and Samui Sandbox Program: This program is for individuals who are fully vaccinated against Covid. You should have stayed in India for at least 21 days or more. You must travel to Phuket without any transit in the capital Bangkok. If you match these conditions, you will stay in SHA+ hotel for at least 7 days before heading anywhere in Thailand.

Quarantine Program: This program is for those Vaccinated Indian travellers who would like to enter Bangkok. You must quarantine in a state-approved ASQ hotel for 7 days at your own expense. If you are unvaccinated, you must go for a mandatory quarantine in an ASQ hotel for a minimum of 10 days.

NOTE: If you have unvaccinated children with you, they will undergo a 10days quarantine along with the parents, regardless of the vaccination status of parents.

Answer: Any travellers who are required to undergo a mandatory quarantine for 7 or 10
days must book an accredited quarantine hotel at their own expense.
